Need help with Russian RF connectors
« on: June 09, 2019, 03:08:05 am »
Hi,

Working on a Russian piece of equipment. It has the connector type pictured on many modules.
Does anyone have a spare cable or two that mates with them that I can buy to cut up and make adaptor cables to BNC or SMA?

Cheers,

Corby

A new toy, perhaps a maser?

The Russkis sometimes used earlier DIN type connectors, so it may be worth looking at some older German information.
Unfortunately, it seems that many such DIN types have been discontinued, so that may also be a dead end.

Looks like a little bit non standard N connector but I think is should mate with usual ones just fine.

The older Kvarz masers have, I think, something called "SR-50" connectors.
the connector that goes on the cable is possibly this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/50-OHMS-LOT-OF-1-SR-50-155FV-50-155-CONNECTOR-FOR-REV-16-REW-16-4mm-/282729664493

You could ask Kvarz or Vremya directly - if you need 5-10 or so the price might not be that bad.

It's a tiny one. about the diameter of an SMA but very fine threads only on the front third. The ebay ones mentioned are not the kind I need..

Thanks,

Do you have a thread gauge and a micrometer and could you post the major thread diameter and thread pitch?
