PCB conformal coating
« on: January 30, 2020, 12:42:19 pm »
Hi All,

I recently repaired a PCB from an air conditioning unit compressor. Some of the tracks had blown and an arc made its way across a good 8mm gap burning the fiberglass.

My question is, once I ground all the carbonized fiberglass away and strengthened the leftover track with de-solder wick and solder, do I need to put a conformal coat back on? And if so, what should I use?

Thanks,

to fill up the hole epoxy should be fine, I think.

To repair solder mask
cheap, nail polish transparent
Pro choice, UV PCB lack
