Pioneer M-790
« on: August 18, 2023, 05:02:38 pm »
Trying to fix 4 ch. Pioneer amplifier,
Output transistors was shorted, replaced transistors, emmiter resistors and driver op-amps, noticed no voltage on op-amps +-12v.
Protection IC PIONEER PAC006C not providing op voltages ( mute circuit?)
Any ideas to how to address this issue? I can't even find a datasheet for that IC.
PS Replaced that IC, same issue.

Thanks for replying.
I got the SM already , what I am looking for is the DATASHEET for Pioneer PAC006C protection IC, and maybe advice to how to troubleshoot protective circuit.
The best I can understand this particular IC7201 inhibit OP amp voltages (+-12V) to go to preamp OP amplifiers.

If OP +/-12V is 0V it clearly indicates a mute situation.
But you can't say how real that is.

Have you measured any other voltages that are given in the manual?
