I dropped this less than a year old phone from knee height and the whole glass is shattered. The first phone I have ever broken in 25 years having them although I have dropped and thrown them much worse. It was even in a flap leather case, but landed display first on a tiled bathroom floor. The display and touchscreen seems to still work OK, but with a lot of shatter the glass is uneven and blurrs the display locally. Before this I had S8 for four years. Not a sign of use in the display although I dropped it many times on concrete.

All the repair shops around here offer just the full display+frame change with steep prices starting from 199€.

You can buy just the front glass at 10-30€ typically with some tools.

I have whatched a couple of glass replacement videos. Seems rather straight forward until in the end they always put the phone in two different machines. What are those? Any change of success with just a heat gun?
