TDS7404 diagnostic error 521 -> who can help me with Eeprom content

Hi today i did some diagnosing on checksum error in a TDS7404.

i ran CalconStatus = CC_init(1) and now my checksum errors are gone but i ended up with error 521 popup. pointing to corrupted eeprom content  -> "Factory Cal"

any suggestion?

i am looking for a good (in cal) export of a Eeprom for TDS7404  ( i found an export (TDS7104 ACQ CAL MEM U1052 B021192 X24165) on this forum for the TDS7104 but that is unusable for the 7404 because content is totally different and so not compatible)

I believe the calibration data is s/n dependent.  I’m not sure another tds7404 calibration would help.

Hi mikehank,  yes you are right of course but it is or a good calibration $$$  or content  where the offset is nearly the same as in the unit where it is for...  SPC is... an offset correction for the channels correlated to an earlier made calibration saved in the eeprom.

Is there anybody who can help me with getting the cal data from my
calcon files into my eeprom? i have content from the unit when it was still ok.
would be nice if i could write the right settings back.

I think your Setup is too optimistic (The Easy Way). The Circuit will load the Programmer. A nice Article (and Products):

Providing you with the Contents of a TDS7404 its Acquisition Board EEPROM means, as far as I see it now, desoldering the EEPROM and reading its Contents with a Programmer (The Hard Way). I don't have a TDS7404, but have a corrupt TDS5104 Acquisition Board EEPROM. In fact the same problem  A fix is now on schedule.

Hi Charlyd,

Maybe the contents of a TDS7404B (you have these) its EEPROM are a solution. For the TDS5000 and TDS5000B Series these are interchangeable. Experience of andy2000:

" I copied the contents from a good TDS5054B to a new chip, and no more error.  Obviously, the calibration isn't to spec, but it's amazingly close, and good enough for casual use.  I was a little surprised that the B version's data was compatible with the non-B scope. "
