HP 5080-2150, GAL16V8 form 6674A power supply
« on: Yesterday at 07:51:25 am »
Hello,
Because of my stupid mistake I've killed A5 control board in HP6674A power supply (probe ground clip popped and shorted something). Now it shows "SECONDARY DN" message, and I've already traced it to (hopefully only) U502 on A5, it's GAL16V8 with 5080-2150 HP number. Do You know how to find that chip or just a JEDEC file with a program for it?

Full story:
I wanted to check if it is possible to slow down a fan when supply is in idle, while keeping the control logic active. Having full schematic, I've started with checking fan voltages and FAN_PWM signals on A4 and A5 and most likely not secured correctly one probe ground clip. It popped and touched to something and psu instantly showed "secondary dn" message. U502 (this GAL) is involved in serial communication and also it clearly loads some lines from uC to ~1.5V (very unlikely level on 5V digital lines). Removing this chip from socked makes "problematic" lines active again with some data on them.
Thanks in advance,
Michael W.
