EPROM Programmer - need a recommendation please
« on: August 06, 2020, 03:30:32 pm »
I'm on the hunt for a USB-powered/interfaced programmer which will handle EPROMs of up to 42-pins (or even more). I don't want to spend a fortune but I also want one that's reliable and preferably has reasonable to good support from the manufacturer in the form of updates as required. A bonus would be if it also tests static RAMs and even TTL logic chips.

Any recommendations please?

I assume you aren't looking at the XGecu TL866II.

Then check out the Conitec Galep5. I don't think it tests TTL though.

Thanks, the Galep-5 is unfortunately rather expensive and, as you say, it won't test TTL or RAMs, the Chinese one you linked to won't test RAMs. I guess I'll have to try some cheap Chinese model with the required functions and hope it's okay.

At this point TL866II not worth when XGecu T56 is out.
XGecu T56 will test SRAM
56 Pin
