I was surfing around and ran across what seems to be a rather fascinating idea. Similar to the shake-to-charge flashlights, it operates on an inductive charger built into the cell. I admit I am not educated enough to estimate what kind of charges such a small inductive generator could achieve, but the concept doesn't seem
too far fetched
to me.
Is this just another batteriser? Or do you think there might be something to this?

The Li ion cell depicted is shown to have a 2500mAh capacity. AA is 14500 and a li ion of similar size is about 700mAh about 2.6Wh. Unless that "2500mAh" is at 1.2V dropped by a DC-DC converter which will be 3Wh which is still way over rated for the size shown.
I'm not too sure on how much power you can extract from shaking but I'm pretty sure it will take a very long time for that to go from empty to full.
There are other gut feels I'm getting (also the lack of technical details - probably a very early idea stage only) that isn't right but these are what I thought of first.

It might work with a Wii controller.

Given that the renderings show that maybe 2/5 of a AA battery is actually used for the energy storage, it might be possible to fit ~300mAh at 3.7V, so somewhere around 800-900mAh at 1.2V MAX - definitely nowhere close to 2500.
