They are interesting teardowns, but I have a very hard time understanding what he is saying with his thick, French accent.  I don't mean that to be offensive because I can't speak a lick of his language.  I'm just saying that I can't learn very much about the equipment he tears down if I can't pick up what he's putting down.

What I like about Mike and Daves vids are that they normally have real educational value. If they see a transistor mounted backwards it can start a 30 minute investigation was this guy stupid or is there a valid reason. This guy has some interesting stuff buy why is it built like that, he has a bunch of it I want to know what makes it special.

+1

Though i guess it could be hard trying to figure out what some oddball box of stuff from a 1970s russian aircraft did without the rest of things it plugged into!

I've watched quite a few of his videos over the last few days. They are interesting, but he stops short of a complete teardown. He seems to really want to collect the junk he's accumulating and not disturb the innards. He will open up the cover on the thing, but he doesn't want to really go into most of the things to the point it would break seals or loosen screws with locktite on them. He also doesn't seem to want to try and power up anything. I haven't seen a single video where he's tried to apply power even if the power would be easily available.

But he does get some weird items, and interesting boat-anchor Soviet stuff.
I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

His accent sounds like the guy I saw before on YouTube with a huge pacemaker collection... might've been the same one.
