I just got this soldering station from okay technologies here in Australia (Seems to be a retailer of chemtools australia).
I used mostly the TS100, Pinecil, and a T12 clone professionally believe me or not, and my only experience with anything related JBC is the KSGER PD210 (Which is pretty terrible to use). Also used the FX888, and despite being "old tech" is perfectly capable for work, albeit slow to keep up when I am soldering a ton of through hole/large ground pads.
Was in the market for a new soldering station, and was choosing between an FX971, a chinese C245 JBC clone station, or maybe just going with the FX888DX. Found out about metcal and curie point stations. Went with a TMT1000s as there is a local distributor for thermaltronics stuff here in Australia.
Holy heck it's fun to just pick up the iron and not worry about whether or not your temp is high enough to handle the joint. I am really tempted to open this thing up, but can't for now as the warranty sticker is a bit of a pain in the ass to remove without damaging it. In hindsight, I should have gone with the TMT2000s instead as I was in the market for a desoldering station too, but instead I went with a handskit t12A. The handskit hasn't arrived yet, hopefully it is better than the crap proskit SS331 that I had.
