Unusual Ohm Clock
« on: July 07, 2021, 01:26:41 pm »
Hi,
Dont know if this is the correct sub forum...
I noticed this project from john bradnam on hackster:

https://www.hackster.io/john-bradnam/ohm-clock-a7beea

There are so many cool clocks with LEDs and nixie tubes etc. but this one seems to be a new unusual idea.
A clock showing the time with resistor color codes  :-+

Not politically correct, since it does not comply with the ADA for vision-impaired users.

Yes, brown is dark yellow, so I guess grey would have to be dark white. Maybe it needs some black light to keep the  intensity even.  :)

It would be cool if you could also use your multimeter to read the time.

But black light would   just add  ultra violet  so you end up with a whiter white.

I had a multimeter like that many years ago. The clock was the best feature

I'm colourblind, and think this clock is a great idea. No matter what you make, it won't be right for someone. So just enjoy making stuff.
