Beam Lead PIN Diode up to 40 GHz

(1/1)

Harry_22:
Hello!
I would like to ask what model of beam lead PIN diodes are used in the following diplexers?

Harry_22:
I found GC4902-GC4906 and GC4801-GC4802 from Microchip but they are written to be suitable for applications through 26 GHz.

Oh hey, I worked on a R&S diplexer much like that one the other day!

Unfortunately, while my replacement diode of choice (Skyworks DSM8100) had acceptable insertion loss in the ON state, it had poor isolation in the OFF state, leading to issues with the low band (which could still "see" the reactive stub behind the reversed biased PIN diode). It's still on my todo list to evaluate other PIN diodes and find one with better isolation.

Hi Jonathan!

Your research is very interesting.
I greatly appreciate your help!
