Rohde & Schwarz CMD or CMU
« on: March 14, 2016, 03:34:31 pm »
Hi,

Can any of you guys share if the CMD or CMU units are suitable to work with radios, I've seen videos of guys working on radios with the CMT, CMTA, CMS units.

I know that CMU has SA, Signal Generator, Power meter, SINAD, etc, but I can't see nothing from the CMD unit.

Its worth to get one or should I pass the CMD and get one CMU, since I don't see any CMT or CMTA for sale and the IFR, HP, Motorola service monitors are expensive.

Since this is a Test Equipment related question you might get more replies by asking in the right subforum  ;)

Since my objective is to repair and tune ham radios, I suppose this is an appropriate forum.

Sure, and it's easy to see that it does work really well  :-DD

Anyways, good luck!
