ADVANTEST R3361 EXTERNAL REFERENCE QUESTION

Hi all
I have a r3361 advantest spectrum analyzer and want to feed it with an external  10 MHZ reference signal through it's rear panel input.
There is a switch selecting if the bnc connector will be  inputing or outputing the 10 mhz reference but I cannot see a menu selection to enable or disable the external reference mode
If switch is at the "external input" and my 10 mhz signal is missing there is not any "UNLOCK" indication so I can be sure if it works ok....
Does it automatically reverts to the internal reference if external is missing? Am i missing something?

I have r3465, it select via soft menu, i use gpsdo as external 10MHz reference when i want, if external reference is not present YES i see the signal under measure moves away  :scared:from where it should be until i select MANUALLY the internal or just plug again the external. No unlock indication notice whatsoever but i think you need to make sure u have your reference working, otherwise at least mine is not smart to detect lose of reference signal input...
