Ceyear Test Instruments

Hi,

I was browsing through ebay, looking for a spectrum analyzer and found something interesting:

I was quite amused to see the interface looks almost similar to R&S FSV, so I started digging further and found this company is producing quite a lot of high end RF test and measurement equipment, and most of it looks almost like a cheap knockoff of Agilent, Tektronix and R&S. The specs are of course not so great. But I was wondering, does anyone own on of this instrument?

These devices have very good parameters. We include support of 4051 into our software RadioInspector.
These SAs support IQ streaming for digital analysis and with our DTest option we can demodulate digital standards like TETRA, P25, DMR and analog TV.
More over we can demodulate headers of packets of following standards: GSM, DECT, Bluetooth, ZigBee, 3G and extract RFPI, LAP addresses and so on. It allows us to differentiate devices that work in a conntrolled area.

Custom-Cal Global Tech has been involved with and is the North America and Mexico distributor for CeYear, this is the new brand name for CETC, equipment line is decades old .. around 60 years from memory.  Yes the new line resembles KS a lot and its a problem for them, the specs are similar.   However internally and from a firmware point they are not a copy by any means.  For better or worse the 67Ghz VNA 4 port comes in at about 120 pounds, much heavier then most VNA's.  Cal Kits are solid and that's been our best market.   We had demo's in the USA for around two years in which time I was able to use and test the 50 and 67Ghz models along with the 44Ghz portable SA. One equipment that really intrigues me is their Radio Communication Tester.

There are not many service monitors being made today for analog radios, i think only Aeroflex makes them now. Keysight stopped making them during HP times.
I have used all the HP, Marconi and R&S Benchtop service monitors, all of them had one thing in common, they all look heavy and bulky

But the Ceyear one looks so small and their website states it can take in 150W of RF Power. Maybe a really small attenuator/load on a heat sink  with a large blower?
I did send Ceyear an email requesting for the price and datasheet. No reply from them

No proper indication of the vertical inputs either: merely 1Mohm/50ohm. Cheap scopes will have 20pF in parallel with both those; good scopes won't.

I can send you more information.  I believe you need to use an external attenuator on the input, I can research more if you let me know which model #.. they have more than one version.
