Rohde & Schwarz CMU200 spectrum analyzer ui
« on: February 25, 2017, 07:51:46 am »
You can hit R -> Pk to automatically move reference marker to the first peak, but Is there any way to automatically move reference marker to next peak, or automatically assign marker 1 or marker 2 to a peak?

I know you can manually enter or jog dial marker 1 or marker 2. I can't find any way to automatically assign them to a peak.

I can do this easily on my Agilent E7495A.

Is the CMU200 SA UI just deliberately neutered?

I was thinking that we could do that through GPIB:
- acquire the spectrum (READ:ARRay:SPECtrum:result:CURRent?)
- process a peak search on acquired data
- set markers on the 3 main peaks

But unfortunately, it seems that there is no remote control command to set a marker  (except FETCh:SPECtrum:MARKer:PEAK? for the R -> Peak).
According to the Operating Manual, the commands FETCh:SPECtrum:MARKer:ABSolute? and FETCh:SPECtrum:MARKer:RELative? do not affect markers in manual control.  :(

Michel.

Same with setting the peak amplitude manually. Looks like you can only set the reference level.
I have not found how to do these in addition to jump peak to peak as you state.

also, can't see any way to change the screen colors. the white background is bad for contrast. would like to make the background black.
