Hello again,

new problems with my Datron 1071 :(

After power up it starts in HOLD mode without any display. After pressing HOLD or MAN the DMM starts to measure and light up the display. From now on everything is working fine for the RUN mode.

The second problem is: I can't switch to CAL mode. After switching the Key to CAL nothing happens. No "cal" display and the function keys are acting as in RUN mode.

I've measured the pullup on the CAL/RUN switch and the voltage changes as expected. I've measured the signal in and out of the tristate buffer to the data bus and the logic level is as expected.

I think these problems are related to each other.

Anyone any ideas?

I've also started a thread in the german mikrocontroller.net forum http://www.mikrocontroller.net/topic/329626 however, I think in the eevblog forum are more people with such a DMM.

Thanks
Philipp

Hello again,

the problem was a wrong setting of the DIP switches for the GPIB Interface at the backside.

Hi Philip,
Was the IEEE address setting effecting the start up in hold issue as well as cal?
Kind regards,
Daniel.
