I am in the market for a new function generator, I have neroided narrowed to the fallowing three Rigol DG1022U, Siglent 1025 or HP 33120A used. What would be the pros and cons to each generator.

Thanks

Out of those 3, I would go with the Siglent.

Better specs, color screen. The Rigol is Ok, the HP is ancient and has low specs.

The DG1022U is fine for what it does and could fit the bill fine.

However, it's definitely not one of these "incredible values" Rigol has like the DS1054Z (or the DP832). It's more of an ok, somewhat old design that delivers the goods, but not in any particularly remarkable way.

I think the Siglent you suggested is good for the money.

One upside of the Rigol is that it's been around for long enough that you can occasionally find good used ones on EBay for a fair price.

I just sold my DG1022 (not U) for $270.
