Hi, few days ago I got my first scope and I needed something with logic analyzer. So far I was using Altera Signal Tap II and I was happy with it so I wanted the same features on the scope but either I m going something wrong I m unable to get trigger using logic analyzer part.
Just to mention that using scope probes and same trigger condition is working perfectly.
So what I need is to detect rising or falling edge of CMOS signal. Logic analyzer part of scope is not triggering at all no matter what condition I set, it should be really simple, few things to set and that's it. Only difference between changing trigger source from CH1 on scope side to D1 or something on LA side. Also I have tried to manually enter voltage or to use set to 50% option. What I see that only force trigger works when RUN is on. On capture SINGLE SEQ nothing happens and just like waiting for something that is not there. Let me repeat myself once more, the same settings works nicely when I set as a source CH1. So far only option I see here is to use scope to trigger some event and to see what happened on that event using LA, but then that is something I can't use when I want to capture some special event on address bus of a CPU. What's especially frustrating to me is that most of the things I figured out in first 20 minutes of using this scope and now I m sitting in front of him for hours simply don't understanding where I m going wrong. Keep in mind that this specific model is resetting like crazy, let's say 5 times today but even that is not a problem. So bottom line why triggering on CH1 or CH2 works perfectly and on LA side not.
