Yeah, nah, that's not what I meant... I'm only hoping they improve, I'm not demanding anything of anyone. My bench contains a few brand new pieces of gear, where a single software license alone can cost more than these FNIRSI units combined! This is not about choosing the right product for my budget. I buy this cheaper stuff because I enjoy messing with it. My comment about firmware updates comes from my observation that FNIRSI are marketing themselves more aggressive (better?) than they used too (other than the specs lies that are still creeping in! 16bit? lol). That combined with the statement they made about not selling enough of the DPOX180X. I believe if the firmware support was better, even with a higher price point, they would do better.
