Hello since you claim being the developer of dpox180h could you kindly explain how to manually calibrate the dpox180h? After performing the calibration through the menu, the values ​​measured on ch1 and ch2 are different

for example sinewave of 2Vpp:
ch1 = 2.1Vpp
ch2=2.6Vpp

Dc signal of 5V:
ch1=4.99V
ch2=5.4V

how can I calibrate ch2 so that it is equal to ch1?

That is debatable. The Gowin FPGA is ok, but why not one that has internal SDR or DDR SDRAM. With 8MB of sample memory the scope would have been so much better. And the ADC, why 4 dual 125MSa/s ADC's instead of a single 1GSa/s ADC. The amount of passive components in the analog front end, are they really needed, and whats up with all the coils in the power supply. Over engineered maybe?

Only the developer for sure (although I think it's not what he claims to be), since he only come here to promote is creations and never answer direct questions about firmware bugs, that every customer owner has the right to ask as soon as he present himself as the creator!

 What's even more ridiculous is admitting that previous models are toys developed for kids, meaning all that talk about those devices being serious tools are bull ... like every owner realized.

Summarizing, the developer doesn't even care to defend himself and gain trust and confidence from current and prospect buyers.

And finally every developer must be prepared to receive bad feedback, and if he is really serious about his work, defend himself and release solutions.

I found strange the fact that he his bypassing the agreement with the distributor and making serious claims like toys, devices with prices too high, that price should be low, and so on. And of course prices should be really low, we're buying products that are to "use and throw away" with really low QC.

 And don't worry he won't give up building his new 1GHz scope, every year there's a new model released with 1 or 2 more desired features, with all the bugs included and mad people opening new posts and spitting hell and fire

Until the moment when a message appears from Fnirsi like "our account was hacked"/"Competitors are throwing mud at us on our behalf", there are: 3, 2, 1 ...

I guess costs is the main reason, but clearly this is a toy, just as all the previous ones, i wouldn't care at all if it were more open, sell it as a 'development kit', the problem with this 'one man shows' is that you get the features as is with  great exaggerations on the specs, with 0 hope on updates, the scope is barely lunched, yet it seems to be abandoned already, the developer is already working on the next big thing.

If it were more hackable, DIY friendly, the community could fix/improve things, but it seems that the focus is more on having encryption chips and locking down everything.

I don't mind that it is a toy, at this price point i expect a toy, but if it is a toy i expect that i can 'play' with it, i'm not buying efused/encrypted e-waste.
If i would want something more professional then I would not be looking at fnirsi at all.

The Hantek DSO2D10 I bought was and still is cheaper than this new DPOS350P, and it has a rebranded Gowin GW2AR-18 with 64Mbit PSRAM, and a obfuscated ADC08D500 that does the 1GSa/s for a single channel, and 500MSa/s for 2 channels.

Development would have been simpler and less components would have been needed in the analog front end, so not so sure about the cost issue here. In my eyes it is dumb design choices.

If it were more hackable, DIY friendly, the community could fix/improve things, but it seems that the focus is more on having encryption chips and locking down everything.

I don't mind that it is a toy, at this price point i expect a toy, but if it is a toy i expect that i can 'play' with it, i'm not buying efused/encrypted e-waste.

I'm not sure if it is possible with this FPGA to lock it from loading a new configuration and writing it to the internal flash. If so, yes it would render it basically useless from a hacking stand point.

Unless the developers learned from their previous failures and improved on their FPGA skills, there is a big chance that the FPGA design sucks anyway.

It would be certainly nice if they decided to develop these kind of things as a development kit. Maybe not open source the software and the FPGA design, but do it for the hardware. Release the schematics and allow users to create their own software.

But for me, not this one. To limited sample memory wise and the ADC setup sucks. Would have made some sense if it was a 4 channel scope with 1GSa/s, 500MSa/s or 250MSa/s, or even a 8 channel scope with 125MSa/s. Screen would be a bit small for 8 though.

If i would want something more professional then I would not be looking at fnirsi at all.

I have owned the DPOX180H for over a year, and I have also just ordered the new DPOS350P to try it out.

Regarding the DPOX180H firmware, I have the following questions / suggestions:

1 - Is it possible for you to make the Voltage ranges (vertical scale) adjustable in very small steps, and not just the large "preset" voltage levels? For example, when monitoring an AM carrier, I need to be able to adjust the captured waveform to fill up 1 or 2 graticals on the screen. At the moment, there is no way to adjust the scope to fit/adjust the waveform size correctly, because it only moves in large steps.

2 - Can the Trigger type (Auto, Normal, Single, etc) be remembered on the startup / power ON  please? At the moment it always goes back to AUTO trigger mode, but I want it to remember my last trigger settings, (for example,  the trigger level, and also the trigger type, such as "Normal" mode.)


Would you be able to update the firmware to include these changes?

Based on Yangyao their profile, there has been activity today, but only for reading. Has not responded since April 25th, so don't hold your breath.

Further more they also indicated to have abandoned the DPOX180H due to low sales volume, so don't count on any improvements any time soon.

Abandoned by Hantek, most bugs still there for 5 years already.
