Hey all! Long time no post. I just got something I'm super excited about, an old HP 5326A Timer/Counter! I got it on ebay for 75USD shipped under the condition "for parts or not working"... but that was just because the seller had no way to test it. I knew I had to have it, since it's almost worth the 75USD just for the nixie tubes inside, and even if it was busted, I would've loved to try to fix it. Lo-and-behold, though, it works perfectly well! There's nothing wrong with it at all from what I can tell, and it even seems pretty dead-on to me.
However, I don't have any calibration equipment or anything accurate enough to compare it to, or any frequency standards or anything, so I'm not entirely sure as to its accuracy... but it's good enough for my purposes until I amass enough equipment/standards to be able to really test/calibrate it!
The attached photo is showing the output when I feed it a 1.234KHz signal from a random AD9833 DDS development board I have lying around... the only frequency generator I have!
