I picked up a Agilent E3644A as working, but I'm not really convinced that it is completely functional.



Pressing "display limit" shows some sane values set.



Running it through a dummy load and a multimeter shows a happy 500mA flowing- but nothing significant on the meter.




Shorting the output in this condition causes it to correctly jump into CC mode, but doesn't update the display other than jumping around in the noise floor. Have I grossly understood how this is supposed to be working, or is the unit faulty? It is cleared so quickly I can't take a photo of it, but the self diagnostic reports no errors.
