I need a basic and cheap clamp meter with mA scale.

I am doing some repair work where I need resolution down to 1mA.  Perfect accuracy is likely not needed for this, but a reasonable meter would be nice.  Of all my Flukes, I don't have one that can do this.  I can't break the wire for a more accurate DMM test. 

Of the ones I have looked at so far, I am at like $400!  Of course I found variants on fleabay for $50 but who knows what they will do. 


Any help would be great!  Probably use this meter only a few times.  Have looked at stuff like Klein, but no luck.

I'd suggest the clamp accessory path, because you can use them with a scope as well.

Wrap your thin 1mA wire around your finger 10 times and clamp the entire bundle.

Only working AC right now, but I'd be more inclined to find or buy an AC/DC meter as I'd have plenty more uses on the DC side.  Always chasing automotive bugs down.

I have been considering the B&K 316 AC/DC clamp meter which has 1 milliamp resolution.

Appreciate the help guys.  I have an Owon coming.  Probably not the absolute best but we have one of their scopes and can't really complain too much with their quality vs cost.  If I end up using it more frequent, I will look towards a better meter.
