Is the U1233A still a good buy?

Hi there,
Been thinking of buying a decent multimeter for a while now (~£130) and have been drawn to the Agi.. I mean Keysight U1233A. I have however noticed that the multimeter is getting on a bit now and just wanted to ask about how it hold up in 2015, would I be better spending my money on something else? I am afraid (as nice DMMs they are) Brymen is pretty much out of the question as they are pretty hard to get hold of in the UK 
I do a variety of work, fixing mains based devices (TVs, Boilers etc) all the way down to small electronics work and the U1233A seems to fit that area pretty well. It's all mainly hobby work though hence why I'm not taking out a mortgage

If you like the U1233A, there is no reason to not buy it from what I can see

Check the specs carefully. If current measurements are important to you, note that it has an amps and microamps range, but no milliamps. Depending on how you want to use it, this may or may not matter to you, but many people consider a milliamps range a useful thing to have for small electronics projects.

Just did some more research and the Agilent doesn't measure between 0.6mA and 1mA!   
Tme.eu looks good but do their prices include VAT? Their prices are excellent!

Oh yes, there is that silly current measurement gap. The prices at TME do not include VAT AFAIK

No rocket-science  to measure mA even on an Meter without any current measurement
1 ohm / 1 W Resistors with 1% is used

If you have a multimeter, you shouldn't need to do things like that.

Anyways Its not really a problem just a bit annoying that this is needed to do such a simple task.

Might just go for the UT1233A as it seems to be a pretty good all round meter. Somewhere between electrical and electronic work. I do also just like it for its ruggedness.

Has anyone had any experience with the U124*** series? They look quite nice but not many reviews and I cant find any teardowns.
