Keithley 6517b analog output noise RMS?
« on: February 11, 2021, 05:38:30 pm »
Hi Y'all,

I am trying to figure out what the noise characteristics of a Keithley 6517b are and since I dont have one, I wanted to reach out to those that might have access!

I use a range of other ammeters now for doing electrochemistry and noise is THE critical factor here (well...that and fast sampling).

To get the fast sampling rate, I would need to use the back analog output.  The problem I am facing (and why I cant look at the spec sheet) is that the data provided by Keithley is referring to the peak to peak variation on the front panel display.

Has anyone hooked up the "Pre-Amp output" on the back panel to an oscilloscope and looked at the RMS noise (either in raw Vrms, or converting to Irms)?

Thanks!
K
