Anybody know about this cheap ass meter?

24 seconds in tells me all I need to know were the vid shows 1000VDC 750VAC but earlier in the vid you can see where the wires from the probes attach to the unit it says 500VAC MAX, I wouldn't touch this POS with a barge pole and I certainly wouldn't be trusting the CAT rating either.

Might be a nice toy if your work only requires measuring low voltages but nah, not for me.

I'd get it for my wife to sometimes measure her alkaline batteries, but this is a bit too expensive for battery measuring...oh well I guess it's a no-buy for me.

It comes in three versions, one with ordinary LCD, two with battery guzzling inverse-LCD displays, the most expensive one is green/red! It's main selling point is that it looks like a phone. Woohoo! Some people might even think it's a TFT screen from that video, but it isn't.
