N7800A Test Management Environment
« on: April 16, 2022, 12:58:26 am »
Hi all,

Does anyone have experience using the N7800A test management environment from keysight? I'd like to use it to diagnose and test old instruments, but apparently you need some expensive licenses to use it. Has anyone adapted it for hobby use?  ;)

Does anyone know of or can point me to a MD5 hash collision finder?
why i ask, the TME software uses a dll that is 2.3 MB and it checks if it matches a long md5 hash. was thinking if a modified dll could be created with a patch and then unused bytes changed to make it match the hash. the dll only needs 2 bytes patched to make it work.

private const string s_flexFile = "fmservices2prj.dll";
  private const string s_hashKey = "9fe8ddeabf8f4fd602b12ea0a897a0fa76e32a99433ed7b83d320752c784e0de516b2c3def088f567684490b8b686373da69f4c8c83e5f72474a4c750ddda302";

What you see is a digital signature. A MD5 hash is 16 bytes long and there are no "long" versions.

Only with a particle collider will you be able to crack that.
