New Rigol 1052e still hackable?

I've just recently bought a New Rigol 1052e scope, is it still possible to hack this into 100MHz?

All tutorials I find on the subjects are 2+ years old and speculating that Rigol would prevent this on later batches.

It should be 50MHz. Where is the scope used for? Any comments on this scope? >:D

Yes, it's originally 50MHz, however (at least) older models were possible to modify to sample at 100MHz.
