Old vehicle scanner (Hi Scan ) linear flash card problem

Old (year 1998 )  has a 2 channel scope  which is what I needed more. I am looking for a way to backup the
 2 mB PCMCIA linear flash card ,because without it the tool is useless .
Bought from ebay 2 linear flash card ,which can be read/erase/write  but none of the card worked ,tool just keep rebooting like there were no card inserted .
1st card bought is SM9FA832-C7500S ,2nd an INTEL series 2+ used in Cisco routers
Don t know much about PCMCIA ,is there any area that cannot be modified/read only ?

Some older equipment with PCMCIA cards will only work with static ram cards (The ones with a battery backup in them) and not the more common flash type.

A good example are the 93xx LeCroy oscilloscope with the front PCMCIA slot on the front panel. If you insert a more "modern" card it will act as if the card is not there even though you checked that the data was actually there with your laptop!
Got a PCMCIA static ram card from ebay, inserted a fresh button battery in it and all is OK now.

If your original card turns out to be a static ram card be careful as all the info will vanish when the battery dies or is removed.
