My fellow TEAbees,
since signing up to this lovely forum I piled up a bunch of test equipment - who should have known!
Still being a student myself I know that money is always a little short. However, I did manage to hunt down quite some stuff for little money that either needed fixing or that just no one else wanted.
I am thinking of putting together a bundle of gear for someone that can not afford it otherwise.
Mainly I am thinking about giving away my light weight 1MHz Voltcraft oscilloscope and a Voltcraft 6010 DMM of which I own a couple and absolutely love
I already donated an Ersa 250MS soldering station to a friend that would have fit nicely here - maybe I can manage to find another decent station to include.
Also, I am screening through my hand tools such as pliers, screw drivers etc. to see what might be useful. There is a set of standard Bosch bits (PH, PZ, TX), a soldering aide (third hand) with magnifying glass and some other stuff.
My question is: Do you think it is worth giving this kind of "vintage" gear away for someone starting out or does it hold back a beginner more than it is useful?
Kind regards,
Frederik
