I am looking at the Rigol DM3058E and DS2072 multimeter and scope package, the graded large display and other features of that scope look awesome and the other DMM I am interested in is the Agilent because of its awesome reporting and statistics, but the Rigol comes with LAN support and its half the price.
I want something PC controllable and know there are C++/CLR interfaces but they have a "Addon" listed for $200 for their software. Is this software a license key that unlocks part of the hardware or is it a software license that I get and can run one instance connected to all of my Rigol test gear?
Also - are there any distributors that are better than others, it seems like everyone is about the same price. It would be nice to find one close to Mid-West US
