could be poor translation.
i can say this,
when i recently got my 900 it would ramp the fan hard when you power it up - maybe to test it or clear dust? no idea.
after i upgraded the firmware it doesnt do it anymore.

Hi,
First of all, I’d like to thank you for making this hack possible. I bought my power supply (DP932E), came across this thread, and decided to give it a try. But before I get started, I’ll try to summarize what needs to be done.
I hope someone will correct me if I’m wrong.
If I understand correctly, the task involves replacing two files: the SousaMain and test.dll files need to be replaced with the ones I downloaded from this thread.
Am I on the right track so far?
I made a backup of the files and found that there are two files in the /mnt/app/private folder on my file system:
test.dll and test2.dll. test2.dll is 16 bytes.
Should I be concerned about this test2.dll file?
My firmware version is 00.01.02, and the calibration date is 2025/4/22.
Thank you for your answers!

Just test.dll
You can consider updating to a known good version first, before trying the hack, as above some people had the "right" version but still wasn't matching.

Just some feedback.
I succesfully updated my PS. All hidden feature is avaiable now.
I just copied the files onto (test.dll and SousaMain) an old pendrive (new 32GB wont work on PS's linux) then remotely logged in, using putty.
Copeid the files to right place in filesystem and it was done!
Now it works! Im very happy with it!
Thank You guys!

I am new here.
I got my new DP932E today, with FW version 00.001.02  I am wondering if there is any step by step to hack it to HIRES and Arb option.

install some type of SCP client.
windows users like to use PUTTY.

get the I.P. address of the psu.
create a folder and put the file "test.dll" into it.
then open a shell / command prompt in that folder and type this:

Quote
scp root@192.168.0.10:/mnt/app/private/test.dll test.bak
scp test.dll root@192.168.0.10:/mnt/app/private/

replace the ip address with your psu address.
if it asks for the password then use "Rigol001"

it will create a backup before uploading the one in the folder.
then just re-boot the psu

Hi everyone,

Thank you all for the incredible effort and documentation on this excellent project!

I recently received my Rigol DP932U, which is running Firmware version 00.01.02 (Calibration date: 1/26/2026). I am very interested in giving this modification a try.

If I understand the process correctly, I need to replace the 'SousaMain' and 'test.dll' files. However, looking through the thread, there are multiple links and patches scattered across various firmware versions (like .21 and .22) and different models.

Could anyone kindly point me toward the correct, verified links or patch files that work specifically with this newer 00.01.02 firmware on the DP932U? I want to make sure I don't accidentally flash files intended for an older release. (I have WinSCP access to the PSU filesystem.)

I greatly appreciate any help or guidance you can provide!

Hi Stj,

I wanted to follow up and let you know that the test.dll swap worked flawlessly!

My unit successfully booted up and now registers as a DP932A. The high-resolution monitoring, ARB generator, and DIO features are all active and showing as "Office."

Thank you so much for providing the correct file promptly—it saved me a lot of time and incredibly straightforward.

I really appreciate your help and the amazing work of this community!

this one:

Hi!
Which "official" FW version does it run?
Also, the E model has specified another max voltage, is it locked only by firmware or the hardware is also different?

Thanks in advance
Regards!

Hi everyone
I've found out that in DP900 User Guide in the page 80 there is Web Control mentioned.

This instrument supports Web Control. When connected to the network, the Web Control will display the real-time interface displayed on the instrument screen. Through the Web Control method, you can migrant the device control to the control terminals (e.g. PC, Mobile, iPad, and other smart terminals) to realize remote control of the instrument. When you first log in to the Web Control, the user name is "admin" and password is "rigol".

I own DP932E firmware version 00.01.01 "upgraded" to an "A" option by "the EEV method" and I don't see Web Control after login at unit IP address. Does anyone have this in ones unit? Or was Web Control introduced in 00.01.02 firmware?

I don't think the DP900 ever had a web control interface.  They probably just copied the manual and didn't update that part, as the current manual doesn't contain that section.

i remember seeing something when i had it networked for the hack,
but i wouldnt call it web control - it was something very basic.

according to my notes:
Quote
web interface:
user=
pass=Rigol1998

shell interface:
user=root
pass=Rigol001

you can fully remote using SCPI, but you need a host program for that.
maybe SIGROK supports it.

Yes, there is a web server running and a basic website, but no virtual front panel.
