Take a short video. I have the same behavior in all three modes.
Hello,
I own a brand new DS1102Z-E since a few weeks and tried to replace this horrible, non-indexed multipurpose encoder. I found the Bourns PEC11R-4215F-S0024 (24 positions) but with this encoder the Scope always triggers the menu twice, so it jumps over one menu item
.
Any other suggestions for the correct encoder?
Presumably you want the one with less pulses: Bourns PEC11R-4215F-S0012

Hello. I tried replacing the native encoder with another one with 12 clicks and 12 pulses. If you do not rotate quickly, the menu bar jumps two positions. Do I understand correctly that for correct operation me will need an encoder with a number of pulses that will be half as many clicks?
Hello ! The DSO model that I use is DS1102Z-E. I notified that if I set the trigger to auto and the memory depth is set at 600k or below, then if triggering to the LM555 output on pin 3 (the LM555 is from the attached schematic) the waveform doesn't stabilize. But if changing the trigger to normal or set the memory depth above 600k then the waveform is stabilized. Is this normal ?
If I trigger on the calibration signal with the initial DSO settings (600k memory depth and auto trigger) then the waveform looks good.
Has anyone tested the operation of an external trigger?
There are cases when it turns out this does not work on the device
Send comand via Ultra Sigma
:TRIG:EXT:ZERO 32500This restores the functionality of external synchronization. And after rebooting the device. But, after changing the units of measurement of vertical deviation from volts to another unit, it stops working again. And you need to send the command again.
I bought a Rigol DS1102Z-E. Before that, I had a Rigol DS1052E. I immediately noticed that the DS1102Z-E's vertical and horizontal encoders are slower than the DS1052E's. While the DS1052E's image moves in sync with the encoder's rotation, the DS1102Z-E's image slows down noticeably—it has to catch up with the encoder. Is this the same for you, or did I just get a slower unit? And another question: the line on the screen is quit thick when the input is grounded, in my opinion. Is this normal? (I've calibrated it, the latest version is 06.04.)
