Rigol DS/MSO 5000 700 8000 full packages

Just in case nobody else noticed: probably in response to the R&S "full package" offerings, Rigol also seems to offer full packages for MSO5000, DS7000, MSO7000 and MSO8000 now.

The MSO5000 full package doesn't seem to contain the logic probe (PLA2216) though. So not really a full package. Or maybe I misread this.

I believe the MSO8000 the logic probe is extra as well, the 7000 is included.

299€ without VAT for the MSO5000. Dunno about the MSO8000. Doesn't seem to be listed.
Strange anyway, that the black MSOs come without logic probe but the white MSO does. It's also the only one with a DS line which can't be upgraded to MSO

BTW: I'd hope Siglent would jump the bandwagon even though I'll probably look out for some used LeCroy or R&S anyway.

Incorrect. There are MSO7000 for sale. And as I've shown they can even be "modeled" MSO7104.

I re-read my posting and don't get why you would misunderstand it. Perfectly valid statement IMHO.
To rephrase it: the 7000 series is the only one which features a DS line that can't be upgraded to MSO.

Sorry, didn't understand it that way.

Nonetheless, as I remember, a DS7000 can be converted to MSO and, as such, to a MSO7104. So, DS was only a marketing exercise.

Correction edit: Well, we can do a DS7104...

I faintly recall that it's not only the connector that's missing but also several ICs not placed on the PCB. So a conversion is probably not for the faint at heart.
But I may be wrong and am too lazy to look it up.

You're right. So deep in the FW analysis that I truly never had seen a DS7000 pic! 

Surely, official videos like this one didn't help...

This is going to be a real killer....for this price the rigol mso5 is the best choice.

And I´m somekind of pissed.
I´ve bought the mso5074 for appx 1100, for an bandwith upgrade to 350Mhz I would pay actually 2199€

I might add that not only the logic analyzer cables are missing for the MSO5000 and MSO8000 but also the memory upgrades seem to be missing for all "full packages".
So Rigol's "full package" is a bit of misleading compared to e.g. the R&S offerings which really contain every option. Besides, I still can't find this promotion on Rigol's site.

The 8000 has 500Mpts as standard feature I believe
