Sweet - just found and ordered a paper manual on the 'bay for the slightly crusty GenRad Bug Hound I got a month or so ago.  The probe wire is also here to replace the semi-insulated ones it currently sports.

GenRad certainly liked their oddball enclosures, didn't they?

If it jams, force it.  If it breaks, you needed a new one anyway...

Went looking for a photo of my old bench.     The only one I have was from when I was going to sell some of my cameras.

Both the bridge and the main table had cable trays.  There was a rack on the right hand side and rack mounted power outlets.   I would have kept it if it was possible.

I sold the Mamiya but found room for the Nikons in my carry on.

We brought our three dogs with us, which is the main reason why I had to leave so many things behind.    We spent everything we had on the move.

Willow in her custom made flight crate.  She was too big for the largest varikennel.

Today getting expensive.

Nice set of poking and clamping tools coming along. And, since it apparently has a dedicated container, let's hope it's got a dedicated space for the BS1363 Foot-Destroyer(tm).
Don't hold too much hope on those leads. They look like the ones with sping loaded retractable sleeves and contact lanterns made from thin pressed strip. The sleeve springs are stronger than the friction of the lanterns so they slowly unplug themselves  :--

Yeah I’m not going to use them. I have a bunch of Pomona leads I use  :-+

They do help resell value when I get bored of it  :-DD

LOL - that was my first thought, too - almost asked if she barked or whinnied.  Quote a pooch!

Chief, Chase and Willow at British Airways  freight /  ATL    (Photo taken with a classic Nikon F.  I had it with me, so why not use it.)

Willow at University of Liverpool  Small Animal Teaching Hospital - waiting for cancer treatment.  (2015)   -  She lived another year+   and died age 12 1/2 .   - Few Great Danes make it to 10.

Wish I had a photo of Willow with Titan.  She looked like a small dog next to him.

Oh fun. The seller has packed the Tek 475 and the 7150 in the same consignment.

Place your bets….

Lots of feedback saying good packaging on China goods so fingers crossed.

Worst case is it’s cheap, free or not my problem  :-DD

Nuking the Saber part... WTF-ever. :o

The ballast/speaker/charge board is finished; time for testing. Which requires that I rebuild the emitter, as it died during testing with several different CC LED drivers which proved not sufficiently durable for the expected use abuse case. We (lightsaber nerds) tend to overdrive these LEDs to  125-200% of "rated" current to get adequate illumination of the blade, so I do keep a few spares on hand. ;)

I ordered one of these flashlights from BangemGood https://www.banggood.com/XANES-XHP50-1800lm-Powerful-Long-Range-Zoomable-Flashlight-Kit-with-18650-Li-ion-Battery-USB-Rechargeable-and-Power-Display-Mini-Torch-Focus-Adjustable-Tactical-Light-p-1749466.html?cur_warehouse=CN on the 22nd July. They processed, packed and shipped it within 2 hours from their China warehouse and this morning it arrived at my very local delivery office, I'm very impressed with that kind of speed, its travelled thousands of miles in the same time it often takes for stuff ordered from within the UK. Now the postman has not yet been, will he come today and more important if he does, will he have this flashlight with him (actually I say him, it might be the rather cute postlady that comes sometimes), or will it lounge at the delivery office for a few days?

My money is on "lounge at the delivery office for a few days"!  :)

My deliveries at the moment: Ordered a 121GW from Dave - Made it from Australia to Germany in less than a week. Speakers ordered (on the same day) from a shop that I could drive to in 40 minutes... Still waiting.

McBryce.
Just as well you didn't put your shirt on it then, its arrived and first impressions are very favourable, although I doubt that its as powerful as they claimed, but it is very bright nonetheless.

Good luck with that. I just chargebacked Aliexpress because two orders got closed immediately and no refund issued. Their customer support is impossible to get to as well.
Strange, I never had any problems with Aliexpress customer support, just fill in all the details as requested and post, then I normally get a response within a couple of hours.

Maybe they'll put an egg carton or two in there for padding.  Have some faith, man!!

Your are lucky. For my birthday she got me a pancake pan ... not sure why I would need a specialized pan to do pancakes ?  :-//

So you don't ruin your good egg pan by overheating it. I bought my wife one of those copper-tone ceramic pans for her flapjacks and grilled cheese sandwiches... getting a good margarine patina (so I can make fried eggs with like 1/4 tsp margarine per order) on my good GreenPan egg pan is too much work to let her ruin it.

But agreed; Robert is a lucky man. You find someone who is willing to put up with your shit (and we all have shit) is hard enough... you find an enabler, you damn straight marry her. Or him. Or it, as the case may be...  :o

I say, crikey chaps, you won't believe it. Old BD has sworn off something completely, waited a bit, and only gone off and done it again. Next thing you know he'll be back on 2m with the pikeys.

And he'll bring home a redhead who isn't a lesbian.  :P :P :-DD
Hang on I thought he'd already done that no?  :-//

Today getting expensive.
Is it a keeper? If so, I'd recommend fitting 4 super bright LEDs on the display, replacing the filter (expensive on that model) and replacing the input jacks for modern safety ones.

or will it lounge at the delivery office for a few days?

Of course it will.

Orders I'm waiting for:

An electrics order from German Eibabo, sent from their warehouse in .DE yesterday. Postnord claim that I'll be able to get it tomorrow, as they've got it in Malmö which is the first stop in-country for goods from Germany.

Pair of boots from a protective gear store. Ordered today, and they claim 2 to 6 days.
Nope, it arrived an hour after I posted about it  :-+
