Minimum Rise Time is 8.4nS @1V for 10-90% according to the spec so it looks about right with the higher swing. Tautech might know if it can be tweaked?
Yeah, found one thing about that. Additional 1ns possible, see here:

Not sure why they didn't use a 7414 (not LS!) or something in that as the output buffer. Perfectly good for the job.

No way would a 74xTTL give you that ristime and a clean top!

Having looked at the scope settings again you are 100% right. I thought that was a 50ns rise time for a minute  :palm:

I Like it a lot, please post a photo to show how the screen aligns with the monitor as I'm not quite seeing it myself, the legs don't look long enough to me  :-//

Here's what it looks like deployed with Extended Desktop in over/under mode. the nice thing with Win10 is it allows you to actually place the monitors in their real relationship. If you have them centered like here, it scales your cursor hand-off points against that map. If you left justify, it'll scale the cursor hand-off for that map. Very organic.

Just a quick note on the way down during a most critical HALO jump:

*Printing...*

*Back to the SWMBO Xmas Laptop Deployment*
Time to start 3DPA  >:D

Deployment successful, under budget and no collateral damage; making my way to the extraction point for debriefing with SWMBO. I believe I may get off KP duty with this one. ;)

Today's 3DP objectives not yet met; I keep having problems with lift-up, even with a full brim after scraping AND scrubbing with alcohol and fresh paper towels til it squeaks. I gave up and tried again with hairspray. We'll see.

mnem
*Toddling off to ded*
Request for KP push denied. Use a heat gun to warm the bed adequately and as long as its clean, you wont need anything else. I used painters tape for  along time, then saw the heat gun trick in a YT video. Next jump will be LALO so pack light and bring your fins, extraction will be 2.5k up the beach head.

Debrief with SWMBO was rousing success; I got VERY little sleep last night. I went from "KP until the end of time" to "SuperMan" in one fell swoop.  ;)

Suggestions on secondary target duly noted... but be advised, bed is 120VAC HOT, and I track actual conditions on the ground with IR thermo before final commit on sortie. I called in heavy hair support as backup; unfriendlies have been neutralized with a minimum of overspray, and target has been acquired. ;)

It was a judgement call, and I made it. Same as I did estimating my remaining filament.  :-DD

I may make one more mopup run this afternoon at 10 microns after I check and tighten all my rollers; see if I can get rid of that ghosting and make the legends a little more legible. Ghosting is VERY bad since I pulled drafting table away from wall because kids complained they couldn't sleep with it running a foot away from their bed.  :palm:  Textbook BOT / Type 2 JENGA "local color" in this engagement.  :o

It appears that my schmuck-hood DOES follow my projects, even if their in somebody else's hands.  :-DD ( :scared:)

Naaahhh... when I did my "reality check" on the model in SU I missed that the front wall was only 1/16" thick as opposed to 1/8" like the top wall, and just ran it as-is. No way in hell that was going to print right; I keep my top/outer layers pretty thick at 1.2mm AND I tried to print it face-down in hopes of more legible characters.

Rev2/Rev3 I pulled the front wall out to 1/8" and printed front wall forward orientation; it turned out much better. Now if I can just get rid of that ghosting I'll be a happy camper.

Cool. I haven't used two monitors in this configuration before. Very design-coordinated desktop.
Yeah; I made a custom wallpaper to match her music teacher mousepad. Hey, I had to make sure her scanner worked right on the new machine, didn't I?  :-DD

I think my brain is scrambled from to many new toys ably assisted by to many Beers for the evening ;D

Tweezers are interesting definitely need to RTFM for them but in circuit they handle fairly well across a range of Caps.
That's exactly what I found, pretty good on resistors circuit too..

Pretty damn good all things considered, i'm kinda impressed actually. Though i do feel a little stupid about that front, mistakes are common and that should of been an easy one to catch.

I've noticed companies like Ebay and Amazon now seem to send mails about items you've only viewed.  They used to remind you of items in your cart or ones you were watching, but now they both seem to remind me of items I only browsed past. Opting out seems to work only temporarily or requires opting out of all mails.

Orders to Mouser and Jameco submitted for the parts to construct the 190mV, 1.9V, 19V reference. I made some changes to the schematic I posted prior based upon some good input I got from here.  :-+ I'll outline and detail those changes once I get it built up. I also will be implementing a minor change to the 190V reference in hopes to further improve it's already very good stability.

For those of you across the pond and down under Jameco is a parts supplier in California. They have the 25 turn trimmers cheap...like a $1.50 USD each. I've ordered parts from them before and they are not Chinese crap.

Contact Artek manuals (artekmanuals.com). They have the service manual for $10 USD. And it's available softcopy and will be delivered to your e-mail so there should be no problem sending it to you in Germany.

Yup; they're where I got my Service Manual for the Tek 2230.

Good enough quality to blow up the schematics pages to 24" x 18" and still crisp & clear, too.  :-+

That's interesting. An error code not in the manual? Sorry, can't help. Not familiar with the 8500A.

I would expect as you have the Instruction Manual instead of the Service Manual, that it would only contain error codes pertinent to user error, not ones pertinent to equipment failure. Or at least, not a comprehensive list thereof.

best engineering of scopes I have ever seen is british: The Cossor 1039M  :)

https://www.thevalvepage.com/testeq/cossor/1039m/1039m.htm

Yea, what happen to British engineering? Pre- WW2 between you guys and the Germans you had leading technology.  With some exceptions most of our stuff here was still stone age. And you were more than willing to share that technology with us. Two examples I can think of are the Whittle jet engine and the magnetron. Post WW2 it seemed to go into the toilet. What happen?  :-//
The answer seems to be right in your statement! No, I am not booked into unabashed anti-americanism, but the treatment many european corporations got from the US was not exactly fair.
That ranges from agricultural machinery, what my father suffered, to aerospace, where it was most blatant. In the latter area, US companies have used every mishap that they came across for their purpose in a way that was not exactly how business was done over here.
And it is not the technology in itself, but the relationship between technology and market, where most damage has been done.
Look at some of Britain's really great projects, like Chevaline, TSR2... when something was about ready, the US offered theirs for a price, which had simply one purpose - to kill off the structure where it came from. There are really few survivors from that, as the US based global giants stomped over everything.
Ok, it has been partially earned by achievements and sheer activity. Take the product range of former HP - who could stand up to that? Even IF a company could offer a better solution for a requirement, it got swamped and out-competed.

Not ali but ebay. Somthing like that https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-Bliley-NV47A1282-NVG47A1282-10MHz-5V-Sine-Wave-OCXO-Crystal-Oscillator/332416522967?hash=item4d65919ad7:g:tyQAAOSwFEpakpUG:rk:1:pf:0

Surprisingly it's working pretty well. Not sure about long term stability though. Need take some times to monitor it with the 5335a.
