Uni-T 8803E vs 8803N difference?
« on: March 29, 2024, 02:37:03 pm »
Can anyone help me understand the difference between the 'E' and the 'N' versions of the 8803 bench meter?

I can't seem to find anything online explaining what's the difference.

Thanks!

HI
I'M not sure what the difference is. But I just got the 8803E model . big disappointment!
Here's what I found so far and I've only had it for one day.
I tested it against a fluke 87 and a BK PRECISION 391A
List
1 Defective test lead has intermittent fault. bad connection
2 Reads low on DCV AND ACV COMPARED TO a fluke 87 and a bk precision
3 Very slow reading takes significant amount of time for the reading to lock in.
4 Reading diodes is defective. IT shows diode conducting in both directions  I tested dozens
5 Capacitor reading a 2200uf reads 2uf  checked 8 caps same issue will not display property
6 Using the usb to PC link software locks up the meter. I unplugged the meter from the usb cable still locked up. turning it off and back on still locked up!   turned off for
an hour. started working again.
I haven't tested the current setting yet WOW do I want too.
It came with a calibration cert  I think that's got to be a joke.
The case is huge heavy steel but the meters all on one board in the front display. the power supply is in the rear. It could be half the size would be way better takes up alot of space.
THIS THING GOING BACK AT ITS JUNK. I know i can do better at 168.00
