I would love to see pictures from the inside and the board. Maybe you can open it and make some good shots for us? To see the mainboard from both sides would be very helpful in order to see what UNI-T is doing against their sometimes bad reputation about front "design" with CAT ratings and reality inside.
The battery/fuse cover looks fine and the fuses too. So I hope that they did a better job with this meter. My UT71E (European version with HRC fuses but missing MOVs even the mainboard had places so I could easily upgraded them) is not what I expected to see inside when I read the CAT ratings on the housing.
Heres some pictures of the inside.
I didn't feel like removing the board completely atm, my bench is a mess right now and tiny screws will get lost
The worst thing about this meter is the backlight feature, to turn it on in dim light, you have to cover the light sensor, and even then its on a timer. the backlight button only disables the sensor/turns off the light, until the meter has been turned off.
Nitpicks, are missing temperature measurement (it does have C and F on LCD, so odd that its not available), and the short leads on the probes.
