The dumpster was from a company in NY, I guess they were cleaning one of their storage units. There was nothing else of value, a few old PCs and a desk.

Now that is a teardown looking for parts. The question is, was the dumster rated for >10 GHz BW equipment?

I would be really interested in description of 26 GHz part and other high frequency components merged with motors.

Oh god, that plugin was in the complete mainframe in the dumpster, and he left the mainframe there 'because it was too heavy.'

(falls off chair, drags self to dark corner, curls up in fetal position and cries.)

Oh well, I'll just assume the thing was hopelessly dinged up, and could never be resuscitated. Please don't anyone say otherwise. This way I can watch and enjoy such a beautiful system being scrapped for parts.

The mainframe was not good. Rusted, snowed on, and dirty. I had already cleaned the front of the modules before filming.

Too late, it already happened to me. 

70000 series mainframes and display sections are available on the cheap.
It was a superb spectral analysis system and those modules would probably have found good use if sold.
Like your comment on the RF section: "Too beautiful to destroy".

Having a HP 70000 system that misses the RF section, i had a heart attack hearing that you found such modules in the dumpster. Would wish that happens to me . Would volunteer to test whether the RF section is still functional . Very nice video about the internals of those modules!
