Which UNI-T clamp meter to buy?

Hello!

I need good clamp meter with capability to measure true RMS, in-rush current and both AC/DC current. Which model is for me?
I prefer UNI-T, Fluke is too expensive.

Here is the latest model: UT216D
UT216C is the same but without the OLED display.
60/600A AC/DC TRMS Inrush 6,000 count 3AAA. Seems to fit the bill.

Those new Uni-T clamp meters look pretty good. How much do they cost? It looks like the C version with an LCD display is around $100 on ebay right now. These could be really nice meters for the price. I personally would stay away from OLED displays.

Another alternative, with a good track record, Brymen BM089. It does everything plus microamps, and meets the latest CAT ratings requirements. It can be purchased for around $145 plus local taxes from www.tme.eu.

The new Uni-T UT211B is a very nice meter too which offers resolution down to 0.1mA. I have a couple of these if anyone's interested. Will post more info in my sales thread when I get a chance.

How is the display update rate?

I have  UT210E in delivery somewhere between china and europe. Dirt cheap for the specs, ie 1mA DC current resolution (just like UT211B)

Uni-T has lots of new models available now but I would wait for some reviews. Well well, I  bought UT210E blindly so if there is interest I can make a quick review when I get my hands on it.

What about Ut-209? I am from Croatia and that model is available to me like also ut208a.

I thought you said you wanted inrush current measurement. None of the 200 series have it (except the 207/208) and the 208A isn't even true RMS.
Please nail your requirements down, otherwise anything goes.
207 is the one to go for, if you don't mind the lack of a bar graph. 208 is just the same with the sole addition of temp measurement.
Current accuracy is not great at 2%+40 on the lowest 66.00A range.

No Inrush, surge or anything else you want to call it.
No temp, no duty cycle, no Max/Min, 4000 count only, but it has peak hold and a bar graph.

The old Uni-T page says the 209 has surge, but the new page does not nor does the manual. That's not to say that the 209 is not a nice meter, it just does not have surge testing as the OP asked for.

I have the Uni-T 216C

It's a good clamp meter because:

- Inrush mode on the AC range
- Bright as %#¤% display, easy to read, with a scale graph thingy on the bottom of the display on certain ranges.
- Relative/zero function
- Hold Function
- Max/Min function
- True RMS 6000 counts.
- Frequency readout on the clamp OR the test leads.
- Temperature measurement
- Flashlight/LED
- One hand operation

It also feels really good in the hand, has this rubberized plastic, feels really solid.
No fuse on the input probes, but, there is no Current range via the probes either.
