Doogee S98 Pro rugged phone
« on: May 14, 2023, 04:47:49 pm »
I bought a Doogee S98 Pro specifically because it has a thermal camera. I bought mine for about $450 CAD (which would be about the same in AUD) The price has gone up more recently because several tech YouTubers have reviewed them and they are gaining popularity. If you shop around the third party sellers you might find a deal.

Cheap-ish phone (cheap for rugged for sure).

The thermal camera is decent, but one issue I've run into is if you shift the image in the thermal camera app so the visible light and infrared images line up it never stays even though it says the config is saved.

Is there a way in the InfiRay app to force it to save or some third party app that might work better?

Have you tried contacting Dodger for advice or a firmware update ? With a mobile phone you need the OEM for updates as the Infiray core will be integrated into the host phones operating system.

Have you tried contacting Dodger(sic) for advice or a firmware update ?

Their website is in English, but lots of the text is poor grammar, like most Chinese companies. I did contact their support but not hopeful.

And no cellphone company has firmware you can just download. It is always sent through OTG updates. And I already went to the System updates App and installed everything to the latest. Also checked on GooglePlay, I have the latest version of the InfiRay app.
