Flir T660 EEPROM failure ?
« on: October 09, 2026, 12:39:07 pm »
Hi folks

I have a message about eeprom failure when I go into the service mode of the camera.
The camera also doesn't see the model number lens or serial number in camera information.
For context, to try and fix this i had an older version of the firmware installed mentioned for a mk1 which allowed me to see this info, then I had an older version of mk2 firmware, the versions were still visible. After updating back to the latest version these details are gone again.

The main issue with the camera is that it does not display a thermal image, only visual image when selected.
Would this be a communication issue between the thermal core and the camera or the lens assembly and the camera?
I thought about rewriting the eeprom once I find the unique password (not 1235) like per mk1 cameras, but the eeprom shows an error in the service menu.
Will take it apart to check the cable connections between pivotating lens block and camera body.
In the mean time if anyone worked on these cameras please reach out, there seem to be fairly common issues with lens connection but even without the lens connected the camera does not display any serial numbers etc.

Thanks.

I was able to partially resolve this issue by trying to replicate the folder structure of an E60 mk2 with FlashFS and FlashBFS folders.
I also used the maps folder from another T620 Mk1 (without the FlashBFS folder) which a forum member kindly shared.
Basically the FlashFS contained calibration data and another few files, while the BlashBFS contained the autoloader and everything else.
The camera now boots, it shows a thermal image and also displays all the relevant data in the service menu and camera screen info menu, although it shows an asterix next to software version, is this relevant ?
What i'm still missing i think are the individual measurement tools like spot, box, MSX, PIP,etc, basically all measurement applications are missing.
I assumed it was the appkit and prodkit files but i have them and they contain data, i assume i just don't have them paired to the relevant tools/applets serials.
One thing i checked was the Resource Tree and it looks like the fields in the data for measurement tools are corrupted with something like "BadData"
I don't fully understand the Resource tree but it seems to read some failure in opening the tools.
Anyways the best outcome i could have is if i can get someone with the Mk2 version of a T6xx camera to share their full storage (preferably the windows folder aswell) so that i can repair my folder structure.

These are the photos of how the camera looks now without any measurement tools "installed"

I installed a mk1 t620 flashfs folder onto the camera.
The camera boots to the old interface, but exactly the same issue, it is missing the measurement tools.
I tend to believe these are stored in Windows somewhere.
