Hello friends.

I saw some people made their own chopper wheel for BST cameras, I think it's very interesting:

I have some questions:
Does this solid version improve SNR / contrast, compare to the original version? (Since they block/pass IR more completely than original) (Ignore the halo effect difference, just pure contrast under low delta-T scenes)
Does the material/surface/paint matters?
