TG165 vs TG167
« on: August 17, 2018, 05:50:49 am »
Hi, I have yet to see either of these in the flesh, not sure I understand the big(ish) price difference, but the TG167 seems more suitable for Auto-electrical fault finding. I am using my hacked E30 at the moment, but its more suited to indoor close up pcb work than outdoor / garage use.
Has anyone been able to compare them side by side? Is the smaller FOV worth the approx. AU$200 price difference?
Thanks.

TG165 is 50 degree FOV and TG167 is 25 degree FOV, since FLIR Lepton 2.0 is only 80*60 pixel resolution, with a narrow FOV to see long range will not catch the detail of the objects.

If you're really satisfied with Lepton 2 80*60 then the TG130 would be your cheapest option...

In my opinion, TG135 is cost effective than TG130, since TG135 has a high and low temp tracing feature. With a 80*60 resolution, it is hard to aim the target.
