So one has to be an "experienced electronics engineer" in order not to short line and neutral on a PSU (how's that for "exceptionally clever"?) and to remove safety hex screws without butchering a rare, possibly prototype, and therefore of historical value, piece of equipment? I wasn't aware of that.
Knowing when you're in over your head is a good skill to have in any case.

I'm well familiar with his channel. I've just
unsubscribed from it. He's always struck me, as newbrain put it, "half-knowledgeable", but this time he went above and beyond that.
All I'd say is that he's wasted a week chasing his tail, but haven't we all at some point? 
Of course we have. Normally not due to gross negligence, though, least of all in a rare piece of equipment that doesn't belong to me.
Overall he didn't seem to care in the least. He started out the video by whining about how the place is on the other side of town and how he had to drive for an hour to get there. Well boo-hoo. Other people in the hobby would travel a long distance to go check that place out if they had the chance, like Clint from LGR did. Couldn't be arsed to even load the box in his car. Then he handled it like it was a sack of dung (see the way he turns it on its side at 3:00). From then on it's a dumpster fire. If he doesn't care for what brings him views and revenue, then why even do it? If he didn't want to deal with the stuff the volunteers at Computer Reset found, then he could have just refused instead of being negligent. Of course, then he wouldn't have got those all-important views that YouGoobers are all about.
