Clearly, the result is non-reproducable and thus not valid!

Would have been hilariuous if Dave had been re-drawing names for the next 30 minutes because of single post posters. :->

The Big Bang Theory is absolutely fantastic! I’m not usually a huge fan of sitcoms, but this one definitely gets my vote

Couldn’t really believe it when I saw it the first time.
Thank you really much! What language did you write the program in?
Looks like .NET, but is it Visual Basic, C# or C++?Really thank you!

U need a better random- generator: http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9298 (a geiger counter, same thing as measuring radioactivity). I was generating a Gnupg- key today (pgp for Linux) and it stopped and asked me to do some random stuff to build up entropy!
Have a lottery on the fluke, and u will light up the christmastree?

You have more easily just made a PHP script that queried the database table for that forum thread and pull out all the users, threw out all duplicates, and then picked one at random and echoed that out.

Well, at least I didn’t waist hours and hours like I did on sparkfun’s free day.

Crongratulations apex!
That was the best lttery draw ever, much better than the ones on the telly! -
@EEVblog you could easly hook up to database via python. 3-5 lines of code and whole contest is done ;>

Oh damn, I admit I skipped the first half of the video because I just wanted to get to the announcement so I just watched the bit where the program selected my name and then ……*waa* the winner wasn’t me! I thought I had won!
Of course my heart sunk even more when Dave said the only fair thing to roll again. I was shouting at my screen, Noooooooo! Give it to me!Oh well, congrats to apex! I guess I better go multimeter shopping as I’m still in need of one!
