    Hi Dave,

Very nice, saves me a trip to the expo.

Can you next time have a look at the soldering stations if there are any?
I am in the market for a new one covering the range from AWG12 wire to SMD.
I have always used Weller but want to see what the competition is doing.

I was waiting for the Altium talk. I’m hoping you ended up talking to them…!

  • Kart (not that Karl, the other Karl)

Party? You call that a party in Australia?

Thanks so much for this! I’ve never been to any of these shows, but if I ever go, it will be as a result of seeing your show reports. You are so good at doing this that I keep feeling the organizers should be paying you huge $$$.

I want one of those IR cameras! I laughed at the purple yoga ball in the background because for no good reason, I have one almost exactly like that which took up residence in my design lab. Too strange.

  • That soldering machine was really cool, it reminded me of a machine a friend of mine demonstrated which did a similar thing but used a welding robot to weld pipes together with complex bends one after another.

Love the hijinx at the end. 🙂

When the guy moved the lcd screen module of that LeCroy scope I thought he was going to detach it as if it could be portable like an ipad…
Oh boy what a disappointment… still I wish I could afford one of those amazing scopes they make, surely they stand our from the rest (incl. tek and agilent in my opinion)

  • you are the best dave… 🙂
