Oh, yeah; the Dalibor nixie tube video is almost 4 years old, I figured it had been seen on eevBlog somewhere. Honestly, no idea how I missed it myself for so long.
That Pilotron tube though... while eminently more primal, and actually being an active device... is quite the accomplishment as well. What I've been able to glean online however indicates that this type of valve was more a curiosity, a proof of concept rather than an actual viable amplifier... I'll admit I don't understand how his figures of trans-conductance equate into how much gain:load it is capable of.
Anybody here with better understanding of flying electron technology have any insight?
