        That’s OK…this sort of tool isnt what you are into then. I, and many other people are.
        I found the vid very informative and changed my opnion on USB scopes & gave me some gotchas to look out for.
        I have used Pico instruments in the past (serial! connected) and found their software a bit kunky…this looks altogether more useable. (Note: I have not used current Pico USB scope software)

      So the network analyzer just a function that sweeps frequencies?

      Is the test to see the frequency generating portion or the measuring portion? Either way, what is the role of the uCurrent?

      It’s a very useful lab instrument as long as you are aware of it’s capabilities or limitations, and it’s a great tool for teaching EE students, where else can you get FPGA driven hardware with dual channel 14-bit A-D and D-A converters and 16-bit logic analyzer or pattern generator for that price ! Not from Altera or Xilinx.

      For your uCurrent frequency response measurements you would get better accuracy setting the signal generator to max output level and use an attenuator to set the current.
      You’re getting best dynamic range and signal purity that way. It’s not a fair comparison when you set the generator output level to 100mV. Bad science.

      The analog hardware is open source, see the manual, but the back end software is proprietary.

      If you want open source and cross platform compatibility try Red Pitaya.

      Forgot to mention that neither of these instruments, AnalogDiscovery or RedPitaya, if used as an Oscilloscope, are capable of accurate triggering. Sample rates are fixed at 100MHz or 125MHz and are synchronized to a free running crystal source and are not locked to the signal you are trying to measure. Perhaps some clever interpolation algorithms could fix this but in either case the hardware lacks this capability.

      I am learning a course on embedded systems and want to buy the usb oscilloscope based on your reviews. Is it better to buy the Test Grabbers or the BNC clips that is offered as an extra option?
